Court Related Clinical Services

CMH Court & Clinical Services is a subdivision of Cozy Mental Health Counseling, PLLC. We offer structured, individual programs designed for individuals who have been referred by the court, an attorney, or legally required support services. These programs are therapeutic and educational in nature, focus on personal growth and accountability, and provide clear documentation of participation and completion.

All services are provided by a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and are appropriate for individuals seeking to demonstrate engagement, compliance, and progress.

Individual Anger Management & Emotional Regulation Program

This program is designed for individuals who have been referred to complete anger management as part of a legal/court related requirement, or who are seeking structured support to improve emotional regulation and behavioral responses.

The focus of this program is on identifying triggers, developing healthier coping strategies, improving communication, and increasing personal accountability in a therapeutic setting.

Program Highlights:

• Individual, one-on-one sessions

• Structured, skills-based approach

• Focus on emotional regulation, impulse control, and communication

• Trauma-informed and non-judgmental

Program Length:

8 individual sessions (60 minutes each)

Documentation Provided:

• Attendance verification

• Certificate of completion

• Neutral progress confirmation upon request

This program is educational and therapeutic in nature and does not include forensic opinions or legal determinations.

Individual Parenting Skills & Family Stabilization Program

This program supports parents who have been referred by the court, an attorney, or related services to complete a parenting or parent education requirement. It is also appropriate for parents seeking to strengthen their parenting skills in high-stress or transitional family situations.

The program focuses on practical parenting strategies, emotional regulation, communication, and understanding child development in a supportive, therapeutic environment.

Program Highlights:

• Individual sessions tailored to the parent

• Parenting education and skill development

• Child development and age-appropriate expectations

• Attachment-informed and trauma-responsive strategies

• Focus on stability, consistency, and emotional safety

Program Length:

8 individual sessions (60 minutes each)

Documentation Provided:

• Attendance verification

• Certificate of completion

• Parenting skills summary (skills addressed only, no custody opinions)

This program does not assess parental fitness or make custody recommendations.

Mental Health Compliance Therapy

Mental Health Compliance Therapy is designed for individuals who have been ordered or advised to engage in mental health treatment and provide proof of participation. This service offers structured, ongoing therapy with clear documentation of engagement and attendance.

Treatment is individualized based on clinical need and focuses on emotional well-being, coping skills, and stabilization.

Program Highlights:

• Individual psychotherapy sessions

• Structured treatment planning

• Consistent attendance tracking

• Supportive, confidential environment

Documentation Provided:

• Attendance verification

• Compliance letters confirming engagement in treatment

• Periodic summaries upon request (non-forensic)

Documentation confirms participation only and does not include legal opinions

Immigration Psychological Evaluation

We provide comprehensive immigration psychological evaluations designed to support legal cases through clear, clinically sound documentation.

Each evaluation is conducted with a deep understanding of both mental health and immigration-related hardship, ensuring that every report reflects the full psychological impact of a client’s circumstances.

Our services are tailored for attorneys and individuals seeking professional, timely, and well-supported evaluations.

We provide evaluations for:

  • Extreme Hardship Waivers (I-601 / I-601A)
  • VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) Cases
  • U Visa & T Visa Petitions
  • Asylum Psychological Evaluations
  • Cancellation of Removal

Each immigration evaluation is structured to meet clinical and legal expectations and includes:

  • Comprehensive clinical interviews
  • Detailed psychosocial history
  • Trauma-informed assessment (when applicable)
  • Mental status examination
  • DSM-5 diagnostic impressions (when appropriate)
  • Clear connection between psychological findings and legal standards
  • Professionally formatted report suitable for submission

Process

Step 1: Referral or Inquiry

Clients or attorneys may contact us directly to begin the process.

Step 2: Scheduling

Evaluation sessions are scheduled promptly, typically within a few days.

Step 3: Clinical Evaluation

1–2 structured sessions focused on history, symptoms, and current functioning.

Step 4: Report Preparation

A detailed report is completed and delivered within the agreed timeframe.

Fees

Comprehensive Immigration Evaluation: $1,500

This comprehensive service includes an in-depth clinical assessment, structured diagnostic interview, coordination with legal counsel, and preparation of a detailed, professionally written report tailored to support your case. Reports are developed in accordance with legal standards and designed to strengthen immigration petitions, including hardship waivers, asylum, and VAWA cases.

Expedited Report Delivery (5 Business Days): $500

Rush Report Delivery:

• 72 Hours: $750

• 48 Hours: $1,000 (subject to availability)

Full payment is required prior to release of the final report.

Evaluations are conducted by a Doctor of Behavioral Health and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with specialized experience in trauma and immigration-related assessments.
